Larned United Methodist Women
Purpose: The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Membership: Membership shall be open to any woman who indicates her desire to belong and to participate in the global mission of the church through United Methodist Women.
My prayers, that I may experience growth and renewal in my relationship to God and to my sisters and brothers;
My time, that I may respond to human need through study, action and reflection;
My gifts through United Methodist Women, that I may share in the global ministries of the church.
Focus: The primary focus of the ministries of United Methodist Women is to be in mission for women, children and youth. The Larned UMW is supportive of the ministries of the Larned UMC through prayer, financial support and hands-on work.
Meetings: The UMW meets as a unit of the whole the first Wednesday of the month @ 10:00 AM. The business of the unit is conducted during these meetings and there are programs that focus on the mission of UMW. Following the meeting there is a carry-in lunch. All women are invited to attend the meeting and attend the luncheon.
